Ghana and Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew says his lack of pre-season with Villa is a contributing factor to his slow start to life in the English Premiership.
Jordan, 24, is a younger brother to Swansea City midfielder Andre Ayew who has wasted little time in adapting to life in the Premiership.
Andre has four goals and an assist to his name and also won the player of the month for August on his arrival to the English game this season.
In contrast Jordan is yet to open his account for Villa but has since made strides with improved performance in his last two games for the club.
But Jordan who is of no doubt he will succeed in the Premiership says his brother is ahead of him because he had a better preseason with Swansea which has allowed him to settle.
“He has been at Swansea since July 1 so he has had longer to adjust and that makes it a bit easier for him,” Jordan Ayew said.
The Ayew brothers will come up against each other for the first time in the premiership this weekend when Aston Villa host Swansea.
