Jordan scores double in Villa pre-season win

Jordan Ayew Jordan Ayew

Ghana striker Jordan Ayew registered his name twice on the score-sheet for Aston Villa as the English Championship side recorded an 8-0 win over Austrian side GAK Graz in a pre-season game on Saturday.

The Ghanaian netted in the victory which was significant for the return into a claret and blue shirt of Stiliyan Petrov, who was forced to retire through leukaemia just three years ago.

Ayew scored on the 17th minute before adding the second on the 35th minute mark.

First up was Richards on 12 minutes as he converted a header at the far post before Ayew hammered home the first of his two just seven minutes later.
Ayew made it four with his second on the night – another long-range effort which flew in beautifully.

He has been linked with a move to Turkish side Galatasaray but Villa are not ready to sell him.
