Ghana youth international and Wa All stars utitlity defender Joseph Adjei has set his target on a top four finish when the 2016 domestic season unfolds.
The 20 year old center back charged his colleagues to push for a place in the top four if they to progress forward as a club.
Adjei touted the youthful nature of Wa All Stars as the need to project the image of the club and the playing staff.
Adjei has been an ever present figure for Wa All Stars since his arrival at the Malik Jabir Park.
The Black Satellites versatile defender raised the bar for his colleagues ahead of the much awaited 2016 football season.
The robust centre back rallied the playing staff to secure a first ever top four spot for the Wa based premier league campaignerd in a bid to project the image of the club to the Ghanaian football fraternity and beyond.
Speaking exclusively to sports crusader, Adjei said, “I am targeting a top four finish come next season. I think we have the qualities to to seal a top four spot although we are a youthful side”.
On the need for a top four spot as a group of young and inexperienced players, Joseph Adjei cited the global exposure that comes with it.
He said, ” It is advantageous to finish in the top four because of the promotion it brings to the club and the playing staff. The players are given enough platform to market themselves to the football family”.
Joseph Adjei was part of the Satellite side that were bundled out of the 2015 WYC in New Zealand at the hands of Mali. The Wa All Stars centre back formed a defensive partnership with Ismail Abdul Ganiu and Richard Akrofi in a water tight defence for Jimmy Corbblahs men at the Wa Park.
