Joseph Atamah Larweh has been handed a late call up to help shore up the injury crisis currently in the Black Stars camp.

Mohammed Salisu and Lumor Agbenyenu both defenders have been dealt an injury blow the last few days meaning the team is light in numbers when it comes to the defence.

Mohammed Salisu pulled out of the squad on Monday after sustaining an injury while playing for his club side while Lumor Agbenyenu who was part of the team has withdrawn due to an injury concern.

Larweh joined the rest of the squad at their Elmina Beach Resort camp base in Cape Coast on Wednesday afternoon.

The squad has been beset with injuries with Mubarak Wakaso, Harrison Afful, Mohammed Salisu and Lumor Agbenyenu all sitting out this qualifiers due to injury worries.
