Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil scored his debut goal for KRC Genk in their 2-2 draw with Malmo FF in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.
Genk got their noses in front three minutes to the end of the first half through Spanish forward Alejandro Pozuelo to silence the home fans at the Swedbank Stadion.
The Belgian side were handed a cushioning in the 53rd-minute courtesy Joseph Paintsil. Paintsil was set free in the area by Alejandro Pozuelo and the Ghanaian made no mistake with a lovely finish into the bottom right corner.
Two quick strikes from Oscar Lewicki and Marcus Antonsson on the 65th and 67th minute respectively ended the match in a 2-2 stalemate.
Paintsil lasted for 75 minutes whiles his compatriot Joseph Aidoo enjoyed the entire duration of the match.
Paintsil has netted three goals with an assist in his 18 appearances for KRC Genk in all competitions for Philipe Clement's side.
