Ghana international Joseph Wollacott put up a top performance for Crawley Town on Tuesday night as he helped his team beat Swindon Town 4-2.

The Black Stars goalkeeper started in goal for his team in the first round of the EFL Cup.

In the game, Ade Adeyemo’s goal in the first half handed Crawley Town the lead at halftime.

Ten minutes into the second half, a Jack Roles strike doubled the lead for the hosts before Nnamdi Ofoborh halved the deficit for Swindon Town in the 60th minute.

Five minutes later, the visitors had the chance to make it 2-2 when they were awarded a penalty kick.

Will Wright stepped up to take the penalty for Swindon Town, but it was saved by Ghana goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott.

Unfortunately, the resulting corner led to a goal scored by Harry Smith.

In the pulsating encounter that ensued afterwards, goals from Jack Roles and Rafiq Khaleel inspired Crawley Town to secure a 4-2 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

The win means Joseph Wollacott and his Crawley Town side march into the second round of the EFL Cup.
