Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is impressed by Kwadwo Asamoah's performance in Saturday's Italian Serie A opener against Fiorentina.
The Ghanaian lasted the entire duration of the game as the Old Lady recorded a 2-1 win over the Lilies at the Juventus Stadium.
Nikola Kalinic drew the away side level on 70 minutes after Sami Khedira had given Juve a 37th-minute lead before Gonzalo Higuain sealed the victory for the reigning champions five minutes later.
"I’m very satisfied with Asamoah’s display," Allegri said.
"The boy endured a difficult past year or two through injury, but this term he’s really hit the ground running and is reaping the rewards.
"Now he’s training well and showing his quality."
Allegri was also satisfied with his team's output in general, saying: "I have to thank the boys, first of all, because we’ve started better than last season.
"We played a good first half, putting Fiorentina under plenty of pressure, even if we over-elaborated things at precisely the time when we needed to put the opposition to the sword."
Asamoah was adjudged Man of the Match, an accolade that was reiterated by a Giorgio Chiellini post-match tweet.
The Accra-born joined Juventus in 2012 but has seen a series of injuries limit him to just 18 league appearances in the last two seasons.
