Juventus transfer chief Luciano Moggi has expressed his satisfaction at this summer’s capture of Stephan Appiah.
The 22-year-old has had a stunning pre-season so far which has even seen him replace Edgar Davids in the Juve midfield.
"Half the world were after him," stated Moggi. "He had admirers not just in Italy but also from abroad.
"That makes his signing particularly satisfying even if we were well aware that he was a great player."
The Italian champions surprisingly swooped for the Parma man after he was strongly linked with a move to either Milan or Roma.
Appiah, who had a wonderful campaign on loan at Brescia last season, has settled in well at the Stadio Delle Alpi.
He was primarily brought in as an alternative to Edgar Davids whose future is in doubt with the Italian champions.
The Dutchman may still be sold this summer as he only has a year left on his contract which would make him a free agent in 12 months time.
