Former UD Las Palmas forward Kevin Prince Boateng hopes the Segunda B side earns promotion back to the Spanish topflight league.
The 32-year old, who is on loan at La Liga champions Barcelona, took time off the international break to visit his former club, meeting former teammates and club officials.
Boateng, who is at Barcelona on recommendation of former Las Palmas boss Qique Setien had an amazing season during his days at the Canaria Island scoring ten goals in his debut season in Spain.
However, after leaving the club the team got relegated from the Spanish top flight but are currently pushing for promotion in the lower division.
"I hope so, the important thing now is to fight to get into the playoffs but I know this club and its fans well and if the UD manages to play them I am convinced that together they will be in First," Boateng when asked if Las Palmas can return to the La Liga.
Boateng joined Barcelona in the winter transfer window but has struggle to break into the catalan giants first team.
