Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah is reportedly on the radar of South African Premier League club Kaizer Chiefs, as interest in the forward continues to intensify.
The Amakhosi’s pursuit comes after Sowah, formerly of Medeama SC, turned down an opportunity to join Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars.
Despite receiving approval for the transfer from his current club, Al-Nasr SC, Sowah has opted to explore other options, with Kaizer Chiefs now leading the race.
Discussions have reportedly begun between Sowah's agent and Kaizer Chiefs regarding a potential transfer.
According to sources from Tanzania, Al-Nasr SC had agreed on a transfer fee of $220,000, and Sowah had previously reached personal terms with Singida Black Stars.
However, the 24-year-old forward has chosen to pursue a move to South Africa, where Chiefs have made him a key target.
Sowah's impressive goal-scoring record in the Ghana Premier League, where he netted 19 goals in 35 appearances, has caught the attention of several top clubs across Africa.
With previous stints at Medeama SC and Al-Nasr SC, Sowah is expected to make a significant impact in the South African league.
