Karela United midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh has called on leadership of the Ghana Football Association to cancel the Premier League due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The Anyinase based outfit have had a difficult start to the 2019/2020 league season.

Before the league was suspended, Karela United were occupying 17th position with 11 points.

Several league championships in the world including French Ligue 1 and Dutch Eridivisie have all been truncated as others considers to emulate.

In spite of that, Emmanuel Keyekeh has encouraged the Ghana FA to follow the Europeans and nullify the GPL as he strongly believes there is more to life than football.

“Though we love football but human life is very paramount. I think we should cancel our league because countries with big facilities are truncating theirs how much more we Ghanaians. We must follow the Europeans” he said.
