Dreams FC might have lost 1-0 to Hearts of Oak on match day four of the Ghana Premier League at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday. But that defeat, can’t in any way, serve as the platform to describe his players are novices who lacked the strength to compete with Hearts of Oak.
This was the notice Coach Abdul Karim Zito gave in no ambiguous terms when answering questions from journalists after the match which Hearts won with Patrick Razak’s 18th minute goal.
“What’s the meaning of experience? It’s something you’ve done and you’re doing it again. It’s not lack of experience. This was the same players when things were tough against Wa All Stars, they won. Again, the same players that won the GHALCA G-8. I’m telling you, this my house and my players are experienced” Zito said unequivocally.
He argued that, his team fared satisfactorily except that they couldn’t take advantage of chances they created. “Remember it was Accra Hearts of Oak and we were playing away. You can’t go to someone’s home and take whatever you want. We had several opportunities except that we couldn’t make it count and Hearts made use of theirs. We’ve been beaten and we’ve accepted” Zito stated.
Dreams FC will host Karela United at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu on match day five.
