Black Stars defender Kassim Nuhu has credited Kwesi Appiah for his outstanding performances at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Despite playing in his first major tournament with the senior national team, the 24-year-old has been the first choice centre-back for the Black Stars boss.
The hardworking defender has repaid the faith reposed in him with two good performances in the draws against Benin and Cameroon.
“This is my first competition with the team and I’m really blessed to play for the nation. I give a very big thanks to coach Kwesi Appiah for believing in me ang giving me the confidence I need to play” he told reporters.
Nuhu will miss Ghana’s final group game against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday due to suspension.
Only a win against the Wild Dogs will see the Black Stars progress to the last 16 of the competition.
