Black Stars defender Kassim Nuhu Adams has expressed his sincerest appreciation to the fans in Cape Coast after they massively trooped in to support the national team in the final world cup qualifier against Egypt.

The Black Stars played for the first time at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday and Ten of thousands of supporters in the central region thronged in to show their support to the team that has suffered some form of hostility from fans in Accra and Kumasi.

The Black Stars were held by Egypt to a 1-1 draw in Cape Coast but that did not prevent the teeming fans from cheering on their stars.

Adams, who was playing his first competitive game for the national team at home expressed joy at the support shown to the team stating,"Thank you cape coast fans. You showed us super love and support. May Allah bless our homeland Ghana and make her great and strong."

The Young Boys defender impressed Coach Kwesi Appiah after partnering with Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey in the heart of defence.
