Kazakhstani top flight side Astana are refusing to let Ghanaian striker Patrick Twumasi leave the club following interest from French side Caen.

The French club has expressed interest in the Ghanaian attacker, but Astana are unwilling to release their most priced asset.

The 23 year old has been Astana's top marksman in the past three season and has a contract with the club that runs until 2019.

Twumasi, was named the club's player of the season after helping the club win the Kazakhstan League and scoring 14 goals in the process.

Several top sides in Europe have inquired about the signature of the former Red Bull player, but Astana have been adamant in listening to offers.

Scottish giants Celtic, German Bundesliga side Stuggart and Turkish Super Lig club Bursaspor have all tried persuading the Ghanaian, however Astana won't let their top striker leave.

Patrick Twumasi's form has seen him earn a call up to the Black Stars and played in the final World Cup qualifier against Egypt in Cape Coast.
