Former Asante Kotoko instrumental Board Member Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong) has expressed gross sympathy to the wife and family of murdered Abuakwa North MP JB Danquah.
The deceased was a close friend to the businessman and describing his sudden death which occurred last Monday, he (Kenpong) said “This is indeed a shocker, he queried me jokingly why I didn’t inform him of my mother’s death the day before his death.
“It’s a double agony for me because we were very close. It’s my fervent prayer that God grants his family to stand throughout these challenging times.
“I met JB in 1998 when I was one of the financial supporters of Kotoko, he joined me and we both supported financially. I used to drive him to Kumasi when Kotoko was playing.
“He is not a bad fellow, so I just can’t imagine how someone should kill him. He was at a point in time appointed a Board chairman of my Travel and Tours. His office is few metres away from my Airport Residential Area house, so we were like neighbours.
“I have lost a real and perfect friend, may his soul rest in perfect peace.”
