Kenpong Rep returns from Brazil with innovations

Kofi Poku, project coordinator of Kenpong Travels and Tours (KT&T) returned from Brazil last week, describing the trip as an eye opener.

The working visit, a requirement by the Youth and Sports Ministry’s World Cup Committee, was to ensure that all mandated travel and tours agencies for the Mundial fulfil required travel arrangements for prospective soccer fans.

Kofi Poku stated in an interview that, Kenpong Travel and Tours is the only travel agency that has conducted a thorough feasibility studies on the match venues, accommodation and internal transport arrangement, and hinted that lessons from the trip has equipped his outfit to give its clients a well-tailored service.

He pointed out that KT &T have succeeded in securing accommodation for the 500 soccer fans that will be travelling with his outfit, that is, satisfying one of the key requirements of the committee.

The Project coordinator expressed the believe that the KT&T team, a combination of youthful and experienced hands are bringing on board innovations like securing the services of interpreters to take care of travellers linguistic challenges during the soccer festival.

“Until our recent trip to Brazil, we thought our initial travel was enough to guarantee the accommodation arrangement we did, you know we have been there three times. Anyway we succeeded in putting pen to paper and I can assure all those travelling with us that they have no cause to worry,” said Poku on Radio Gold.

He added “We are doing all these arrangements to improve on previous World Cup trips and to leave a legacy that will make us a reference point. Tell me one project my boss Kennedy Agyapong, I mean Kenpong has touched and has not succeeded, he is a result oriented fellow, so for sure Brazil will be gold.

“We consider what we are doing as an investment, already, we have hit the ground running regarding the Holland-Ghana game in Rotterdam, and we are also doing the Commonwealth Games and the women’s U-20 World Cup in Canada”.

“We will be meeting with the UK High Commission soon to further discuss travel arrangements for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow,” he added. Meanwhile, Mr. Poku has indicated that there are still allocations for individuals, groups and members of the corporate world for its destination Brazil world cup package.
