Coach Kwesi Appiah has named his starting team for the AFCON 2019 qualifier against Kenya to be played later on Saturday.

The team is captained by Leicester City's Daniel Amartey, and is led in attack by FC Nantes' Majeed Waris, who will be hoping to end his four-year goal drought for the Stars. Supporting Waris is in-form Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey, who has scored six times in his last five international outings.

Appiah also hands a starting berth to left-footed winger Edwin Gyasi, who plays at CSKA Sofia and will be winning his 5th cap. There was no place for Kwadwo Asamoah, but the Juventus utility player could make an appearance from the bench, in what would be his first since the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
