Accra, Nov. 20, GNA - The Management of Kessben Football Club has lodged an official complaint to the Premier League Board (PLB) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over the conduct of officials and supporters Ashgold in their Sixth Week Premier League match at the Anane Boateng Stadium, Abramkesse in the Ashanti Region last Wednesday.
A statement signed by Samuel Ellis-Obir, Head of Administration of Kessben FC, said, "our officials and supporters were threatened and terrorised by supporters of Ashgold in the course of the match". It alleged that they have meanwhile received further threats in the media concerning their next game against New Edubiase scheduled for the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi - the home venue of the newly promoted side, following the 2-1 victory over Ashgold last Wednesday.
The statement said during the mid-week match, supporters of Ashgold used abusive language and vandalised property at the Anane Boateng Stadium as well as threw stones at officials of Kessben.
It said the Club is concerned over the threats in the media and has therefore called on all stakeholders, especially the security services to be on the alert for any unruly behaviour from anybody or group of persons seeking to disrupt Sunday's game against Edubiase.
