Three-time Ghana Beach Soccer league winners, Sunset Sports Keta will represent Ghana at the 2018 Kebbi Beach Soccer Sallah Tournament next week in Nigeria.
The fourth edition slated between the 16-18 June 2018 in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
Sunset Sports Keta and Real Munster Beach Soccer Club of Germany have been confirmed as the International teams that will compete with top flight clubs in Nigeria for the converted trophy.
CEO of Sunset Sports Keta Dzidodo Ruben Adjahoe believes this tournament will be an opportunity to showcase Ghana's beach soccer prowess to the world.
''The tournament in Nigeria is what the players need now. We have shown our strength domestically and our players now need to test their strength against other teams on the continent and globally,'' he said.
''As the most successful beach soccer team in Ghana, We will also be showcasing our beach soccer culture to the world.''
Adjahoe also appealed for support from government and private individuals for the team to enable them prepare adequately for the tournament.
He commended long-term partners Sandlanders Football UK and Aborigines Beach Resorts for their continued support.
''We need to take our preparations a notch higher and we need all the support we can get to play in this tournament. We are appealing to our leaders and all private people to help us make Keta and Ghana proud in Nigeria,'' he added.
''Our partners Sandlanders Football and Aborigines Beach Resorts have also been very supportive and once again we express our gratitude.''
Sunset Sports Keta have dominated the Ghanaian league since its inception in 2012.
The Keta based club has won three national championships in four years and their players form the core of the national Beach Soccer Team, Black Sharks.
