Former Lazio goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani has blamed AC Milan’s exit from the UEFA Champions League on Kevin-Prince Boateng’s poor form in the two legs.
The retired Ghana international failed to shine in the 69 minutes he lasted for Milan in Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat at the Camp Nou on Tuesday night.
He was replaced Urby Emmanuelson in the goalless stalemate at the San Siro a fortnight ago.
The former Italy international goalkeeper believes the story have been different if Boateng was in fine shape for the game.
“Boateng has not seen much in the two legs. He could have played a crucial part of the tie if he was physically fit,” he told Sky Sports Italia.
