Kevin Danso showcased an outstanding performance to help RC Lens secure a 3-1 victory over FC Versailles 78 in a pre-season friendly match.

The Austrian-born Ghanaian defender played a crucial role in the win against the French third-tier club as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Danso found the back of the net, contributing to Lens' triumph on Wednesday.

RC Lens took the lead just 18 minutes into the game with a goal from Rémy Lascary, but Romain Basque equalized for Versailles.

Lens then scored two more goals to clinch the win, with Danso restoring the lead six minutes into the second half and Adrien Thomasson sealing the victory in the 69th minute.

Danso had an impressive run with the Austrian national team at Euro 2024 and aims to carry that form into the new season.
