Kevin Danso looks likely to return this summer to Augsburg's parent club as long as he is given a chance to play regularly at the club.
According to Augsburger Allgemeine, Southampton have an opportunity in the summer to turn their loan deal into a permanent one, but it seems unlikely to happen. On the deadline day of the summer transfer window, Danso arrived at Southampton as Ralph Hassenhüttl was looking to add defensive reinforcements to his squad.
Augsburger Allgemeine looked at the current situation of Augsburg players on loan and what the future might hold for them this summer.
They explained that Danso 's time at Southampton hasn't gone as well as he'd hoped it would, managing only ten appearances and 601 minutes of football so far. He fell off the pecking order due to injuries after initially been a regular under Hassenhüttl.
Due to this situation, it seems 'unlikely' that Southampton will exercise its option to buy Danso, who has a release clause of €11m.
