Kevin Prince Boateng Wanted For Next Ghana Game

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic has admitted missing Kevin Prince Boateng in last Friday’s 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Swaziland.

The AC Milan midfielder has fallen out with the Serbian trainer for failing to make himself available for some of key games of the Black Stars and has been criticized for choosing-and-picking games he prefers to play.

The Black Stars who beat their opponent 3-0 in their own backyard in May laboured to a 2-0 victory before an expectant home crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The below par performance has ignited the debate as to whether Boateng’s absence was a contributive factor – one Stevanovic tends to agree with. “Yes, he is a fantastic player and for the next game I will speak to him again and hope he plays,” he said after Friday’s win over Swaziland.

“For me the respect and conduct of all the players is important and I am sure the next game we will agree because I hope, I want him to come and play.”
