Chairman of Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Youth and Culture, Alex Agyekum believes Black Stars coach Charles Akonnor has the final say on Kevin-Prince Boateng's return to the senior national team.

Boateng is serving an indefinite suspension after he was sacked from the team's camp for insubordination. It is said that Kevin had used some vulgar speech on the then coach Kwasi Appiah leading to his dismissal.

In an Instagram Live chat with his younger brother, Jerome Boateng who played for Germany, Kevin admitted he didn’t like how he left the team but was hopeful for a second chance.

Asked about the comments made by Kevin, Mr Agyekum said: "He is a Ghanaian and if he has shown signs of remorse by apologizing, we will accept his apology but as to whether he should be accepted back in the team or not, I don’t have the power."

"If the technical bench headed by C.K Akonnor believes that Boateng has something to help and would want to bring him, we are all for it. I don’t have any problem,” he ended.
