Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng registered his debut goal for Fiorentina as they made light work of Galatasaray in a pre-season friendly encounter on Sunday.

The 32-year-old has been the centre of attraction since joining the Viola on a two-year deal from US Sassuolo in the ongoing transfer window.

The Ghanaian poacher is gradually repaying the faith shown in him by coach Vicente Montella after excelling in their pre-season training matches.

The former AC Milan man kept up his fine pre-season performances against Turkish giants Galatasaray when he stepped up in the 42th minute to convert a penalty.

The Artemio Franchi Stadium lads went ahead to win the game 4-1 courtesy goals from Ricardo Sottil, Marco Benassi and Giovanni Simeone, with Emre Mor getting the consolation for Galatasaray.

Boateng was replaced with Dusan Vlahovic in the 64th minute.
