Kevin-Prince a doubt for Ghana's game

Ghana assistant coach Kwesi Appiah has confirmed that Kevin-Prince Boateng is a major doubt for the weekend's 2012 African Nations Cup qualifying against Sudan.

The AC Milan midfielder is strained a thigh muscle over the weekend and might not play a part in Sunday's game at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Appiah says AshantiGold midfielder Sampson Cudjoe has been drafted in as the Black Stars medical team monitor Boateng's progress.

Also goalkeeper Daniel Agyei of Liberty Professionals has been called up to increase the number of local players in the squad to four.

Ghana opened the Group I qualifiers with a 3-0 away win against Swaziland in Lombamba and sit at the top of Group I.

The Black Stars losing finalist in the last tournament are aiming for a place in the finals of the competition to be co-hosted by Gabon/ Equatorial Guinea. The group also includes Congo.
