The Ghana FA has started speaking to five shortlisted applicants to the vacant Black Stars coaching job.

But sensationally, Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac failed to make it on the shortlist for the Black Stars coaching job because, as supersport.com has been told, he demanded figures in the region of 70,000 euros a month.

The Ghana FA set up a three-man committee with getting a new occupant to the sacked Kwesi Appiah’s seat and they shortlisted five, according to sources.

Dutch national team assistant coach Patrick Kluivert headlines the list, with former Egypt head coach Marco Tardelli in the mix.

Former Chelsea coach Avram Grant is also in there, as is former Switzerland assistant coach Michel Pont. Former Valladolid coach Juan Ignacio Martinez is the last of the five.

Giovanni Trappatoni pulled out of the race despite being shortlisted, as the former Italy boss cited sudden ill health.

No Ghanaian applied for the job, which drew some 32 names from around the world.
