Kodwo Asamoah and other young stars to shine in Angola

I have a strong feeling Kodwo Asamoah will emerge as Ghana’s new and brightest talent in Angola. He has the power, the pace and good eye for goal. In the absence of the likes of Stephen Appiah and Sulley Muntari, the stage is now set for a new star to emerge and I have no iota of doubt that Kodwo Asamoah will step up his game and make it big at the world stage.

Ghana football fans will remember that Abedi Pele stepped up to the African scene big time in 1992. Other top Ghanaian internationals like Tony Yeboah, Sammy Kufour, Stephen Appiah and Michael Essien have also taken their opportunities in recent years and this is surely the time for the likes of Kodwo Asamoah, Dede Ayew, Dominic Adiyiah, Samuel Inkoom and Jonathan Mensah to shine. I was not surprised he has been given the prestigious number 10 shirt won by former greats.

Ghanaians should not worry too much about the absence of top internationals like Appiah, Paintsil, Muntari and John Mensah we will certainly see some top emerging stars that will thrill Ghana and flag the nation’s football high in many years to come. Come Kodwo and our young stars show Ghana and the rest of the world what you can do. God bless Ghana and the Black stars.
