President of Wa Africa united FC,Nana Kwabena Yiakwan II has accused his team manager Kofi Adams of fixing matches between Wa Africa United and Real Tamale United.
Speaking to Agyenkwa FM in Techiman over the weekend, the controversial Nana Yiakwan said,
"We lost to RTU by a lone goal in Damongo which is our home ground.I was reliably informed that my team manager took Monies from RTU in our GNBDOL match day 23 that was why I sacked him before our game against Tamale Utrecht".He did the same thing against Techiman City and I have reported it to the GFA.
Meanwhile the team manager has denied all allegations levelled against him by the President.
"My brother, this is news to me.Nana has not sacked me.I was bereaved before the game against Utrecht.Nana is a big liar.I am disappointed in him. What is match fixing?I don't know what you are even talking about.I have never fixed a match in my life and don't know how to do it.You can check from my background.Nana is just frustrated. He is the same person accusing me of fixing a game against Techiman City FC in our GNBDOL match day 22".
"My brother,he is just frustrated.Nana cannot look into my face and tell me I sold a game to Techiman City and RTU.Our fans misbehaved in Damongo when they attacked the match officials. The case was taken to the Disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association. We were deducted points.Instead of us appealing against the decision, you sent your driver to Damongo and remove the inner perimeter of the stadium to Obuasi. Are you a serious administrator?I am ready to testify anywhere am invited about this case".
The Ghana Football Association Ethics committee will be meeting on Wednesday 12 August to investigate the allegations.
