Ghana coach, Maxwell Konadu says his team will do all they can to seal a qualification spot from Group C of the CHAN tournament.
The Local Black Stars were on Friday denied an early qualification to the next round of the competition after Libya scored from the spot to cancel Yahaya Mohammed’s first half goal.
“What happened today is very normal in football. We played in the first half and created numerous chances from which we should have scored more than the one goal we got. The team is behind in football will normally come back strong and that is what Libya just did,” Konadu told Cafonline.com
Ghana and Libya both have four points, but the North Africans top the Group with superior goal difference. Both teams need a draw in their last group matches to be guaranteed of quarter finals spots.
The Stars will take on Ethiopia on Tuesday while Libya have a date with Congo.
“We accept the draw in good faith and regroup for the Ethiopia game which will be tough but we will do our best to qualify from Group C,” the Ghana manager added.
The Local Black Stars were losing finalists in the maiden edition in 2009.
