Kotey For Commonwealth Title Tonight.

Ghana’s Alfred “Cobra” Kotey, who lost a controversial decision to Gideon Annoh last month, mounts the ring in Wembley, London tonight, to fight for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title.

His opponent in tonights fight is the Welsh boxer Jason Cook. The 26year old from Maesteg, in the South Wales valleys, faces former WBO bantamweight champion Alfred Kotey at Wembley Conference Centre for the Lightweight belt previously worn by Kotey’s countryman, James Armah.

Kotey, now 33, has already held a Commonwealth title, down at flyweight- his first appearance in Britain saw him defend it against an out classed Danny Porter- and his collection of belts was topped by the WBO bantam honour.
