Kotoko Angry At Osei's Absence

Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko is fuming with rage over the reported travel of Michael Osei to South Korea without permission of the club. The Asante Kotoko Express, the club’s official mouthpiece reported that Osei who was Kotoko’s top scorer in the African Cup Winners Cup traveled to the Asian country at the request of former coach Ian Porterfiled with the assistance of his Ghanaian lawyer Kweku Afrifa.

Porterfiled who still has a legal case running against the Kotoko for unfair dismissal is now in charge of Pusan Icons in South Korea with unconfirmed reports suggesting he wants to sign on a number of the players he worked with at Kotoko including Osei.

The player is out of contract at Kotoko but the Porcupine Warriors contend it is still illegal for any transfer to be effected without their permission.

Osei had a brilliant season with Kotoko firing them to the African Cup Winners Cup finals with seven goals. He has since been linked with a move to Real Mallorca in Spain and Aalborg in the Danish Super League.
