Visiting Kumasi Asante Kotoko beat Sekondi Hasaacas 2-1 at the Sekondi Gyandu Park.
Hasaacas attacked in droves soon after they had taken the kick-off and were rewarded with a goal in the fourth minute. Although the performance of Hasaacas dipped midway through the first half, Kotoko failed to establish any meaningful chance though they soared in possession.
As the game wore on Kotoko pressed the throttle harder and forced Hasaacas into a defensive posture till end of the first half. In the second half, Kotoko piled up pressure on Hasaacas and in the 60th minute, the homers defence capitulated and George Yamoah scored to draw level for Kotoko.
Before Hasaacas could get over the shock, Nana Arhin Duah added another goal for the visitors in the 65th minute. Dispirited, Hasaacas tried to find their feet again but Kotoko intensified their efforts to consolidate their lead.
