Accra, Aug 15, GNA - The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) last Tuesday adjourned the protracted protest case between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the Tano Bofoakwa to Thursday, August 25.
The Committee invited both parties to a hearing but due to a protest raised by Kotoko over certain aspects of the minutes recorded at the sitting of the Disciplinary Committee, which dealt with the first case, the case was subsequently adjourned to Thursday, August 25. According to information reaching the GNA Sports, the secretary to the Disciplinary Committee has therefore been invited to appear before the Appeals Committee on its next hearing. The Committee is expected to come out with its decision when it meets on Thursday.
Kotoko after the first round GT Premier League match against Bofoakwa, which ended on a barren note, protested against the Sunyani side claiming they used an unqualified player. The Disciplinary Committee however ruled against Kotoko. Both clubs are expected to appear with their respective Chairmen and counsels.
