Joseph Hendricks, former captain of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has said clashes between the two Ghanaian giants; Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko goes beyond securing mere three points.

The two heavyweights would renew their rivalry in the first 'Super Clash' of 2018 in a Ghana Premier League (GPL) match day ten encounter slated for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium this on Sunday.

"Kotoko and Hearts games are not normal. But the good thing is that, fans are thrilled with some good football. Players on both sides are poised for the encounter because it's the biggest game on the local scene and players can sell their potential as well," Hendricks told GNA Sports.

He added, "concentration is certainly high within both camps and people normally say form guide doesn't count, but you need players with good form to play such matches coupled with spiritual fortitude ahead of the clash.

Kotoko is currently occupy fourth spot on the league log with 14 points, whilst Hearts is languishing in 11th spot with 11 points and this encounter looks some fascinating thrills come this Sunday.
