Kotoko, Hearts of Oak mourn Former Ghana striker Junior Agogo

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have paid tribute to Junior Agogo following his tragic death in London.

The Ex-Black Stars striker died at the age of 40 after a long battle with stroke.

Agogo will be remembered for his eye-catching performances for the Black Stars during the 2008 Nations Cup on home soil.

The former Nottingham Forest and Zamalek player spent most of his professional career in England and scored a total of 113 goals in 350 league games over 15 years.

The country’s two biggest clubs took to twitter to express their sadness.

“We are saddened to learn of the death of former Black Stars striker, Junior Agogo. We extend our condolences to his family at this extremely difficult time.

While Hearts wrote “@HeartsOfOakGH is disheartened to learn about the passing of former Ghana striker Junior Agogo.

The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Agogo’s family at this sad time.
