Kotoko Move For Faisal Duo, Others

Kumasi Asante Kotoko?s recruitment for next season has started after the club officially expressed interest in four players from city rivals King Faisal, Sekondi Hasaacas and Ashanti Gold.

But the Porcupine Warriors are yet to officially request the release of Hearts of Oak star man Louis Agyeman despite expressing an interest in the player.

Kotoko public relations officer Kwame Owusu Ansah says Kotoko are studying the nature of the player?s contract with Hearts before making a move for him.

The club has however made a move for defender Saliu Mumtari and Anthony Anane from Sekondi Hasaacas, Eric Gawu and Yahuza Abubakari from King Faisal as well as 2003 league top scorer Shaibu Yakubu of Ashanto Gold.

Gawu and Yahuza have impressed for Faisal in African club competitions over the last year and have all earned call-ups to the national teams in the process.

Muntari, junior brother of Ghanaian international Sulley Muntari has been putting in a series of impressive performances for Sekondi Hasaacas on the left side of defence and was a member of the Ghana U-20 side that failed to reach the African Youth Cup.

The clubs involved are yet to respond to Kotoko's expression of interest.
