Kotoko Squad Bolstered Ahead Of WAC Game

Kumasi Asante Kotoko?s squad for their Confederations Cup second leg clash against WAC of Morocco is to be bolstered by the arrival of four players from the Black Meteors camp.

George Owu, Yusif Chibsah, Charles Taylor and William Tierro are expected to join the rest of the Asante Kotoko team in Rabat on Wednesday.

Second choice goalkeeper, Mohammed Alhassan would still be in the national camp as Louis Quainoo takes over his place in the Kotoko team.

The four players all members of the Ghana?s Olympic squad, the Black Meteors have been in Portugal preparing with the Black Meteors towards, the Athens Olympic games.

The four were exempted from the team?s aborted Germany training camp but were to join the squad in Rabat for the match.

Also to join the team in Rabat is head coach, Hans Dieter-Schmidt, who?s been away since the club?s first leg game with WAC in Kumasi.

The coach left ahead of the team to Germany where they were scheduled to have a training camp but the trip was cancelled due to flight arrangements from Germany to Morocco on Wednesday.

The porcupine warriors left Tuesday after their test game against Power FC was called off.

Asante Kotoko enter Saturday?s Confederations Cup game with an upper hand after beating WAC of Morocco 2-0 at the Kumasi Sports Stadium in the first leg.
