Asante Kotoko are set to agree on a deal to sell Abeiku Ainooson to Sudanese Al Hilal after the defender passed a medical.

The 25-year-old underwent his medical in Khartoum before being taken to the clubs base in Omdurman.

Kotoko have the player permission to travel to the North African country to first undergo a medical before an agreement is struck.

Al Hilal officials will now be making an official offer to Kotoko with Ainooson passing his medical over the weekend.

Yes, the player is in Sudan after we granted him permission to undergo a medical, Kotokos operations manager George Kennedy told GHANAsoccernet.com.

The agreement was for the player to undergo the medical after which we will be discussion terms of his sale and I believe we are progressing steadily with that.

Abeiku Ainooson joined Asante Kotoko two season ago from New Edubiase.
