Kotoko beat Inter Allies in friendly

Asante Kotoko staged a remarkable comeback to beat Inter Allies 3-2 in a friendly match played at the Tema Park on Tuesday.

The friendly forms part of Kotoko’s preparations toward the start of the new football season, which remains uncertain due to a court case against the Ghana FA.

Kotoko who had been held to a 1-1 draw by Heart of Lions in another friendly played on Sunday in Accra found themselves 2-0 down against Inter Allies.

Prosper Kassim and Ofosuhene scored to put the hosts into a 2-0 lead.

But a three-minute meltdown by the Tema-based club saw Kotoko claw back to win the game in remarkable fashion.

Prince Baffoe started the comeback for the Porcupine Warriors by pulling one back before Obed Owusu drew them level.

Striker Ahmed Toure continued with his fine pre-season form by hitting the winner late in the game.

The champions will now return to Kumasi after their mini Greater Accra Regional tour.

Kotoko will next face AshantiGold in another friendly on Sunday.
