Kotoko boss Opoku Nti asked to step down

The Asante Kotoko board has told General Manager Opoku Nti to leave his post at the end of the month, Kumasi-based Metro 94.1 FM has reported.

According to the reports, the decision was reached at the same time they agreed “mutual termination package” with former coach David Duncan.

Nti has been asked to prepare his handing over notes to the board by 02 July.

The club legend was appointed in an acting capacity in 2013 after Dr KK Sarpong stepped down as Executive Chairman.

Nti was a member of the Asante Kotoko Africa Cup winning squad in 1983.

He scored the winning goal that clinched the trophy for Kotoko against Al-Ahly in Kumasi
