Captain of Asante Kotoko, Amos Frimpong, says he’s happy with the point earned against Aduana Stars in match-day 18 of the Ghana Premier League played at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park yesterday.
The Porcupine Warriors were reduced to 10 men in the late stages of the game but held on, as they denied Aduana Stars from gaining all three points.
According to the Captain, they were focused on gaining maximum points having lost two points at home against Great Olympics in week 17, but was content with the result considering the ambition of Aduana Stars who have set sight on winning the GPL title.
” We lost two points at home against Great Olympics, so our focus towards this match was to fight for the three points at stake but things didn’t go as expected.
“Nonetheless we have a point and the game wasn’t an easy one, because Aduana have sight set on winning the GPL title, but we are okay with the point,” Frimpong said in an interview.
Kotoko will host defending league champions Wa All Stars in match-day 19 of the GPL on Sunday.
