Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has revealed that the club has imposed a minimum height requirement for players they will recruit into their youth team.

The club is still signing players to fill the voids left by the departure of over 20 players following a massive clear-out.

Addressing the policy guiding their recruitment of youth players, Ogum said the talents currently in the team are good.

“We came up with a baseline requirement for height, so we decided that every youth team player we would recruit should be at least 155 centimeters tall.

“That should be the minimum height and entry requirement. Once we had these two basic criteria in place, we brought them in and screened them, which is why we were able to get these boys.

“Now, if you look at the quality we have, what you said is actually the fact. These boys are so good, so intelligent, with and without a border.”
