Kotoko could sign Saka in Ghc70,000 deal

Ghanaian Champions Asante Kotoko are set to finally meet the asking price of fellow Premier League side Aduana Stars for the services of experienced defender Godfred Saka.

The porcupine warriors opened talks with the Dormaa club late July but have since struggled to meet the beat-down Ghc70,000 valuation of the 25-year old right back.

Asante Kotoko had offered a take-it-or leave-it Ghc50,000 to sign Saka, who has only a season left on his contract with Aduana Stars.

However, Footy-Ghana.com sources reveal, a club sponsor, Budget Cash and Carry, distributors of Blue Jeans Energy drink on Thursday presented a cheque of Ghc20,000 to the club to be able to meet the difference which has stalled negotiations for the past three weeks.

Saka is one of a few consistent right backs in the First Capital Plus Premier League having served Aduana for the past five years.
