Kotoko duo, Asante and Obed Owusu out of danger

The medical team of Asante Kotoko has revealed positive injury update on the duo of Emmanuel Asante and Obed Owusu after both were stretched off the field during the club’s last Sunday 2-0 win over Edubiase in Kumasi in the Elite cup.

Emmanuel Asante appeared drowsy after a challenge on him by Godfred Asamoah in the 42nd minute. He looked shaky when he went to receive treatment. The left-footed midfielder was replaced by Richard Mpong.

Obed Owusu in the game also sustained a couple of heavy knocks to both legs and was limping after a challenge by Kwame Adjei. He was taken off the field and replaced by Elvis Amoh.

“Both of them are out of danger”, Assistant Physiotherapist, James Cosmos Appiah, told the club’s website.

“Emmanuel Asante complained of dizziness whiles Obed Owusu had an ankle sprain. Both of them have been given medication; Asante will be off duty for two to three days and Obed Owusu just a day”.
