Asante Kotoko has secured qualification to the next stage of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup though yet to kick a ball.
This followed the inability by the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) to submit its second representative for the continent’s second-tier club competition.
FECAFOOT had held on too long to submit the side that joins New Star FC for the 2018/19 Cup.
A legal tussle is said to have delayed the submission of reps from the Central African nation.
A deadline given FECAFOOT elapsed on Friday, three days ahead of the originally scheduled first leg of the preliminary round of qualifiers.
Asante Kotoko will therefore stand by for the winner of the Kariobangi Sharks-Solar7 two-legged qualifiers.
?: Matches #37&38 are cancelled, because the deadline for @FecafootOfficie ???????? to confirm the engagement of second rep. for Total CAF Confederation Cup has elapsed. Asante Kotoko ???????? is therefore qualified to the 1/16th round.#TotalCAFCC
