Asante Kotoko grossed a total GH¢248,360.00 from the well-attended match-day 7 Super clash against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, footy-Ghana.com can confirm exclusively.
From the 38,000 tickets earmarked for Sunday’s game, a gross amount of GH¢252,500.00 was expected to be gained from the GH¢4, GH¢7 and GH¢20 ticket prices charged.
This means there has been a shortage of GH¢4,140.00
Kotoko will by the close of Monday announce the net amount realised after deductions of tax components together with other charges due are made by the relevant bodies.
FootyGhana understands the porcupine warriors are likely to take home about 51% of the gross proceeds realised from the Hearts of Oak game.
In a related news, eight (8) Asante Kotoko fans supposedly from Beposo Circle 82 were arrested by the Police at the gates for ticket racketeering.
The game ended goalless at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
