Kotoko gross GH¢3.5m from Super Clash

Asante Kotoko is reported to have made gate proceeds of GH¢ 3,470,000 from their Premier League clash against rivals Hearts at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

A total of 1,670,000 have been deducted by the National Sports Authority, VAT and 10% of the gross amount to the Ghana Football Association.

This means the Porcupine Warriors have made a net profit of GH¢ 1,800,000 from the game.

Kotoko sold over 38,500 tickets with the cheapest going for GH¢ 10 which saw the stadium filled to a 98% capacity on the day.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw with Hearts of Oak winning possession on Sunday.
