Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko have hit back at Aziz Haruna Futah after he launched a vicious attack on their star striker Ahmed Toure.
The die in the wool Hearts supporter launched a shocking attack on the 27-year-old after he ditched the club to sign for the Porcupine Warriors.
The top official of the powerful chapter O claimed the Ivorian hitman will suffer severe career consequences for abandoning the former African champions.
But the Greater Accra Regional chairman of the club, Emmanuel Boamah has warned the club will hold Futah responsible if anything untoward happens to their player.
“We are in a modern era and so it’s shocking to hear Aziz speak the way he did,” he told Oman FM.
“We feel scandalized and will hold him responsible if anything bad happens to him. “We are not in the stone age era where players cannot move from one club to another. It’s absolutely preposterous to curse a player simply because your team was not professional enough.
“Like I have said, if anything happens to Toure, Aziz will answer to us. We can promise him and those who speak and think like him.” The two most powerful clubs in Ghana have engaged in a heated debate after Kotoko completed a massive transfer coup.
